Freshness and purity are adjectives that we have got used to associate with the Minho region. And not without reason: Minho has this lush vegetation because obviously the subsoil is rich in pure waters that flow from countless springs. It was by observing these springs that a group of six partners decided to start the project “Águas S. Martinho”. It was the year of 1992.

Later, in 1999, the two current shareholders acquired the company. Under new management, “Águas S. Martinho – Grupo S. Martinho” was relaunched on the market, with new image and new PET packaging. Grupo S. Martinho has in its history a positive market record, based on the quality and purity of these crystal clear waters and an excellent value, price and service correlation.

In 2007, the Group found a natural spring with excellent features in the municipality of Chamusca. After analysis, the company saw in this discovery a great opportunity for expansion. Apart from the determining factor – the quality of the water – this new unit would allow Grupo S. Martinho to position itself near the large distribution centres in the Lisbon area and to continue to ensure a great value for money in its products, but now at a national level. Thus was born the brand “Aguarela do Mundo”.

OUTEIRINHO – FAFE

Outeirinho is located in the heart of Fafe’s Mountain Range, a region whose natural beauty catches the eye. The main features of its water are its lightness, purity and transparency, meaning that this is a naturally pure water.

Since 1999 the company has invested both in terms of facilities and production equipment. Nowadays, it is a modern company equipped with the best technology that exists for the sector.

Outeirinho is dedicated exclusively to bottling water.
